Dr. Vimal is a internationally renowned cardiothoracic radiologist. He currently is the lead of radiology at Narayana Health City, Bangalore (formerly Narayana Hrudayalaya). He is one of leaders of cardiac imaging in the country and has played a pivotal role in establishing multiple centers to provide cardiac imaging. He has an excellent training pedigree having spent major part of his professional career in United Kingdom (Cambridge/Brompton/Glenfield Hospitals). He is a man with clear vision and great leadership skills and believes in empowering young talent by providing them world class training and education. He has a strong academic background and has published more than 60 articles in international journals. He also holds a patent in catheter design to perform post mortem coronary angigraphies. With a military background and having served in Afghanistan war, he has vast experience of establishing teams and running programs successfully.
Dr. Nidhi Gogia, has over 15 years experience in the field of Radiology and is a certified fellow by the Royal College of Radiologists, London( U.K.). After her medical education, she did her higher training at India’s premier institute, AIIMS. She has worked as a Consultant in various tertiary care hospitals and research centres which includes JCI recognised Apollo hospitals and Kailash hospital.She was also a Consultant with SBISR, New Delhi where she gained an in-depth experience in Fetal Imaging. She is adept at all modalities( Ultrasound,CT and MRI) with a special interest in Antenatal imaging, women’s imaging, fetal MRI, body and MSK MRI. Dr Raman Malathi heads the Bioengineering Group, which focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms and cellular interactions of physiological Systems and computational modeling of Cardiovascular system, ganglion cells and cancer cells. The group is housed in the Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Annamalai University at Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu, India. Dr Malathi completed her Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation and Control Engineering in the year 1990 from GCT, Coimbatore and her Masters degree in Instrumentation Engineering from Madras Institute of Technology, Chennai in the year 1992.She did her PhD dissertation at IIT Madras. She received awards for her innovative research and Best Thesis Award from Indian Institute of Technology, Madras in the year 2010. She has 25 years of teaching experience and fifteen years of research experience in the area of Computational Bioengineering. Dr.Malathi is a Coordinator for the UGC supported Innovative Programme, M.E Rehabilitative Instrumentation and also Nodal Officer for the UGC funded skill based B.Voc programme on Hospital Instrumentation and Management. She is serving as a principal Investigator for the International collaborative research project with Harriot Watt University,UK on Mutimodel Cancer and also many funded projects by UGC,DST and DBT in the thrust area of Bioengineering and System Biology. Her publication widespread in the area of Ionic channel effects on cardiovascular cells, cancer cells, ganglion cells , analysis of cancer Images and also design of sensors for cancer detection. She published good research articles in many International and national journals and International Conferences. She is member in many professional bodies, few as American Heart Association, USA, Biophysical Society USA, Computers in Cardiology, Italy, Society of Mathematical Biology, so on.
Dr Jayaraman Krishnan is a Director for Centre for Bioengineering, the centre aimed in the development of various research projects in the area of Biomedical Engineering which are reachable for the society. Centre housed at Annamalai University, Chidambaram, India. Dr krishnan completed his Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering in the year 1991 from Annamalai University, Masters degree in Instrumentation from IIT,Khargpur in the year 1998 and PhD dissertation from IIT Madras. His teaching experience spreads for 25 years and fifteen years of research experience in the area of Medical Instrumentation and Bioengineering. Dr Krishnan is motivating the Bioengineering group and Coordinating with all research activities of Head, Bioengineering. He pioneered Industrial collaboration for PG and UG students projects and also for the training the students with the Medical Equipments. He guided PhD scholars in the area of Cardiac Memory, Modelling and design of sensors. Dr.krishnan published many articles in national and International journals and Conferences.
